As many collectors are aware, this original Canadian issue sounds vastly superior to its original Italian counterpart which was issued on Cinevox (released same year). Canada's "Attic Records" was also able to re-produce a much richer sound with many vinyl issues by other artists during the 70's such as Wayne County and the Electric Chairs, Judas Priest, Riot, Triumph, Skyhooks, Dr. John, Gruppo Sportivo, Budgie, and Blotto...to name just a few. The audio transfer for this video wasdone with an Oracle Delphi MKIII turntable, an SME45 tone arm, and a Vanden Hull MC-10 MC cartridge. Though I suppose after digital transfer to mp3, compression etc...all this is irrelevant. The various images used within this video are taken from photos and scans of my original vinyl LP jacket/cover/labels, along with a few band pictures procured from the internet. "Goblin" bio taken from Prog Rock Archives: Symphonic band from Italy who adapted their music to the movie industry, mainly horror movies from the 70's. The outstanding keyboard work performed by Claudio Simonetti is a trademark of GOBLIN. Most of their stuff is really heavy and moody, with a Floydian progressive feel, and generally pretty good. Anyhoo, I've been away all week filming NerdQuest with Mike J and the TGWTG UK members, so I've been stuck in a hotel room a lot of the time because it's been pouring down all week, so I thought I'd try them out by walking out of my room and ordering myself some pancakes for breakfast at the McDonalds opposite. I put the glasses on my forehead rather than over my eyes to make it look a little less suspicious, but in hindsight, I should have aimed them down a bit (this was my first ever use of them). You also can't get rid of the date mark in the bottom corner, and it has no internal battery for timekeeping, so it's stuck at midnight Jan 1st 2007 :D Also for my non-UK friends, you can check out the new look McDonalds designs we have over here as they wanted to ditch the red and yellow plastic as they found it too garish (and some local councils said it ruined some of the older streets) so they've adopted this more contempary "starbucks" style, a few stores also have big arm chairs to eat your big mac in as well. I brutally injured my pectoral insertion muscle (somewhere between my right pec and my right arm) a month or two ago. I have not been able to do any sort of chest exercise for one to two months because of the severe pain from moving my arms in the pushing motion. The fact that push ups were difficult to do meant I really screwed something up. Today I had the bright idea of doing floor presses. So here is what I came up with. My strength has gone down, which make sense, so hopefully I can work on my floor presses for a while and then in a month move to real bench presses. I personally thought it was pretty awesome how I have it set up with the two chairs and when I failed I just dropped it a little below my stomach so I don't need a spotter. Weights were 185, 225, and 225 for the three clips.
